Pokemon Diamond and Pearl has new Legendary Pokemon. Some of them you can get them through progress of your game. Some you have to use Action Replay (AR- a cheating device for a game console) or just wait for the event from Nintendo. And some you get before and after national dex. The legendaries you can get before the National Dex is Dialga or Palkia. Depends on which game you get. Diamond- Dialga and Pearl- Palkia. After the National Dex and Elite Four is Heatran, Giratina, Gible (I think), and Rotom. I will post soon where you get them.
Pokedex and National Pokedex
Posted by waterwarrior905 on July 12, 2007
Your pokedex (Dex as I call it) you get in this game has 2 pokedex. The regular one and the National one. The rugular one only lets you have all the Sinnoh Pokemon. The National One is an advance Pokedex from Professer Oak. You can get after you complete your Sinnoh Dex. Once you get the national you can get old pokemon from Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen, Emerald, and Ranger. you can also get some other old pokemon from swarming which is when after national and elite four. Just talk to Dawn’s little sister a few times

The Starters
Posted by waterwarrior905 on July 12, 2007
Wow these starters are great. I have both games I chose Piplup ( the water type pokemon) in Pearl and Turtwig (the grass type pokemon) in Diamond. I didn’t pick Chimchar (The fire type pokemon) because I want to get it last. So here are their bios. Thanks to Marriland.
Turtwig-
Turtwig, the Turtle Pokemon, is a pretty solid choice. It
has great Defense and Attack, although it is pretty slow.
Fortunately, it will be able to take hits throughout the
game, which is a good thing. It learns Razor Leaf pretty
early on, too, giving it a nice offensive attack. Later
on, Turtwig will eventually evolve into Grotle, followed
by Torterra, which is Grass / Ground and capable of
unleashing Earthquake.
Chimchar-
Chimchar, the Monkey Pokemon, is all about doing damage.
It learns a wide variety of various Physical-based attacks
and it has the Attack stat to use them fairly well.
Although it may have difficulty with the first Gym, it
will prove to be a strong fighter during the rest of your
journey. When Chimchar evolves into Monferno at Level 14,
it will become part Fighting-type as well and will start
learning Fighting-type moves to utilize its second type. Its final form, Infernape, is also part Fighting-type, and
is also quite fast to boot.
Piplup-
Piplup, the Penguin Pokemon, is, unfortunately, not that
great early on in the game. It doesn’t learn any strong
moves until Bubblebeam, which is Level 24 at it’s second
stage. However, its forms have good Special Attack, and
its final Evolution, Empoleon, is part Metal-type, making
it resistant to most any attacks.
So if wanna be like me go ahead or just pick your own starters.
